I have been asking myself lately (more like the entire past year) – What am I afraid of? Why? What do I need to know and/or do to alleviate that fear to step forward from paralysis into momentum filled days of joy? I think dancers ask that of themselves a zillion times during their career. Here are some of my fears and counteractive prompts. These will be turned into improvisational tasks from which I will create my next new work – Reflections of Light.

I leave this blog with a poem I wrote inspired by a prompt from the collective Dance Art Journal based in London, UK. Their ZINE of a compilation of poems by dancers during the pandemic is soon to be published.
