Connected lives in the world of social media
Privacy Settings looks at how our lives are connected in the world of social media and digital technology: what goes public and what should remain private. Using selfies, GoPro, overhead video cameras, and even the theme of reality TV, the performance combines high-energy modern dance with high-tech imagery behind-the-scenes, as well as on stage.
Performances include talk-back discussions with local professors, psychologists and social media experts, including Mala Maticin (University of Hartford) and Marialice Curran (University of Saint Joseph). These conversations are designed to help audiences of all ages dissect our ever-changing world of social media and its impact on our lives...and our private choices.
Privacy Settings was developed during the Company's residency at the University of Saint Joseph. Privacy Settings premiered in 2014.
